The broker-owner of Regents Real Estate Group, Paul Adams, is passionate about sales, a trait he inherited from his grandfather, a noted salesman. He’s also passionate about the Four Corners region. The California native lived in Idaho, Texas, and Oregon before moving to Cortez in 2010. He fell in love with the area and has been here ever since. “The beautiful landscape, numerous outdoor activities, and tight-knit, forward-thinking community” is what attracted him to Montezuma County, he says.

After several years working in the Montezuma County Assessors’ Office, a job that gave him in-depth knowledge and experience in property valuation, Paul decided a desk job wasn’t for him. In 2017, he earned his real estate license and subsequently founded Regents Real Estate Group.

It turned out to be a good move. A successful real estate professional from the outset, Paul was awarded Rookie of the Year in 2018 and Professional of the Year in 2019. His success in helping his clients find the property of their dreams, or sell and move on to a new adventure, is the result of Paul’s expertise and the enthusiasm he has for his work, in particular, the satisfaction of helping his buyers and sellers. Clients find Paul easy to talk to and someone who can relate to many personality types. He values setting clear goals and expectations, and always keeps his clients’ needs at the forefront of any transaction.

“Love Where You Live” is Paul’s motto, and he demonstrates that love by volunteering each year for the 12 Hours of Mesa Verde Mountain Bike race, which benefits local nonprofit organizations that help local youth. His volunteer work has even won Paul the Columbine Award, which celebrates community volunteerism. Paul enjoys spending time in Cortez’s stunning natural surroundings, where he rides off-road and dual-sport motorcycles, and goes jeeping, camping, and mountain biking.
