Get to Know Me

I grew up in Denver, Colorado, and moved to Cortez in 2011 through an AmeriCorps program, a move that quickly became home. Today, I’m grateful to be raising two wonderful children here alongside my partner, Megan.
 
My background is in education and human services. I taught special education in Shiprock, New Mexico, and earned a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University. While in Shiprock, I served as a college counselor and Assistant Director of Special Education for the district, and later taught as an adjunct professor at San Juan College in Farmington, NM. Before transitioning into real estate, I also worked in behavioral health, supporting children with autism diagnoses.
 
Cortez’s natural beauty, inclusive community, and exceptional geographic location are what inspired us to put down roots here. Real estate allows me to combine my passion for this area with my commitment to helping people find a place where they truly belong.
 
I’m deeply involved in the local community and currently serve as Board President for Southwest Open School, coach youth cycling with High Desert Devo, and volunteer regularly at Battle Rock Charter School. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the gym, cycling, camping, traveling, and restoring vintage motorcycles.
